COMPUTER ACCESS
Need to get online? Card members of the Burns Public Library can access the internet at no cost with a thrity minute limit on crowded afternoons. Students are permitted to have up to one hour during peak times to attend to school work. Printing from our computers costs .25 cents per page.
YOUTH SECTION
Over three thousand children's books in our basement nook for young kids, and a large variety of teenage novels and manga. We also have a modest selection of DVD's and CD's to rent out on your library card, for the same three weeks as a book!
SCAN AND COPY
Library members can scan and copy documents for .15 cents a page at one of our six machines. Two fax machines are on hand for .75 cents for the first page and .25 for every page after. Our costs are to maintain ink usage and provide affordable resources to the community of Harlen County.
YOUTH BOOK CLUB
Young readers are welcome to meet their fellow peers in this group aimed for ages 10-16 years old. A weekly meeting to discuss the books are based on the age group of the members. Biweekly new books are offered for avid new readers.
SENIOR BOOK CLUB
Join our experienced readers for a weekly meeting at the library for a group selected book of the month. Enjoy the company of your neighbors and discuss the latest best sellers in this lovely club aimed for readers 50+ and up.
TUTORING / ASL ASSISTANCE
Teachers from the Harlen County school district often assist students in areas they are struggling in, as well as high school students and locals looking to help their communtiy. Call us to see if we have a match for your needs. We're looking for a new ASL teacher.
